Brick and Roofing Tile

Consistent Brick Color is very important in manufacturing bricks as end users need the same color for every project.

When bricks are out of a specific target color the process is optimized by either manually adjusting the dye flow mixture or inputting the color value into a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) that adjusts the dye ratio automatically.  Severely out-of-specification bricks are either sold as factory seconds or they are reground and recycled.

Senware CR100FF Process Color Meter allows Brick and Roofing Tile manufacturers the ability to measure color on-line and optimize the color process.  The CR100FF will measure only the brick/tile color and not be impacted by gaps between products.

Brick makers can select RGB (Red, Green, Blue), HSL (Hue, Saturation, Luminance/Lightness/Brightness) or L, a, b color scales.

Bricks mainly contain clay, sand, lime to fuse during firing, iron oxide for coloring and magnesia for shape according to Capital Masony.
